(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 22 - Pope Francis on Wednesday met with
migrant rescuers from Mediterranea Saving Humans and praised
their efforts to ave lives in the Med, bishops daily Avvenire
said.
A delegation from the NGO, which was founded in Bologna in 2018,
met Francis and Cardinal Michael Czerny, Prefect of the
Dicastery for Integral Human Development.
Accompanied by Cardinal Franco Montenegro and the archbishops of
Palermo and Naples, Corrado Lorefice and Mimmo Battaglia,
Mediterranea shared with the pontiff the path it is following
with Churches, which sees as leaders the archdioceses of Palermo
and Naples, Avvenire said. (ANSA).
