(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 30 - Jailed anarchist leader Alfredo
Cospito is dangerous and a wave of violence will not sway the
Italian state to lift the mafia-style 41 bis regime he is being
held under for fear he orders action from inside, Interior
Minister matteo Piantedosi said Monday.
Cospito, he said, "has shown considerable dangerousness and has
been definitively convicted of very serious crimes for which the
judicial bodies have meted out the 41 bis regime," the first
Italian anarchist to be so treated, Piantedosi said.
"I do not enter into discussions on whether it is appropriate or
not, but the actions of anarchists, which we do not
underestimate, will not condition our future choices", said
Piantedosi on the Tg4 programme 'Diario del giorno' on Rete 4.
